Weather History and Probability

v0.19
Purpose of this app:  pull historical NOAA weather for any US, Mexican or Canadian airport and estimate the odds of favorable flying conditions — low cloud layer, VFR, fog, or convection — for a chosen date range and time window
DEMO MODE — dummy data, not real weather. Use this to check the app locally; the live site fetches from NOAA.

Airport

Search by ICAO identifier, airport name or city. If the station has no usable weather history, we'll suggest a nearby station with a comparable microclimate.

0Q5 (Shelter Cove) has no on-field weather station. Nearest stations with a comparable coastal/low-cloud-layer profile:

Years outside a station's period of record are dropped automatically.

Of the hours that weren't all-favorable, how often each factor was part of the problem. Red = strongest detractors to flying
Tap a condition › to chart it by itself.
On the ground: temperature & dew point
Bar = mean temperature over the selected hours; white tick = mean dew point. Hover or tap a bar for the spread, % of hours above 30 °C, and density altitude.
Data source: NOAA NCEI Global Historical Climatology Network-hourly (GHCNh) station observations — ncei.noaa.gov. GHCNh is worldwide; Mexican and Canadian stations come through the same feed as US ones. Sky-condition classification (CLR/FEW/SCT/BKN/OVC/VV) is parsed directly from each station's raw hourly fields. Mexican and Canadian airport list: OurAirports (public domain).
